Marianas Space adventure is a game that I wrote where you navigate a shuttle around the screen collecting the floating penguins whilst being subject to the gravitational pull of some strategically placed planets, whilst making sure you don't run out of air or fuel. The game is written in c++ with dependencies on OpenGL.

The game currently has 12 levels, 4 textured planets that have a gravitational pull on your space shuttle. The sound track currently features 2 tracks, both provided by my good friend Marijus Seskauskas. The space shuttle also has a particle stream for its thruster, this produces a visually pleasing visible exhaust from the ship whilst accelerating. All entities in the game are completely 3d but from a 2d perspective.

Whilst maneuvering the shuttle you have an air and fuel meter in the top left hand corner of the screen. When you thrust this will slowly consume your fuel. And over time your air supply will decrease also. The aim of the game is to collect the penguins before your fuel and air supplies runt out. But also trying to avoid crashing in to any of the planets. Though the planets are fundamentally obsticles they can also be used as gravitational slingshots, exerting a pull onto the shuttle and altering your trajectory.
